Description
Description
The 7403 is a digital logic integrated circuit that contains four independent 2-input NAND gates with open-collector outputs in a single package. Unlike the standard 7400, the 7403 requires external pull-up resistors, allowing flexible interfacing with higher-voltage systems and wired-AND configurations. Operating from a 5V supply, it is compatible with standard TTL logic levels and is commonly used for logic control, signal gating, level shifting, and driving external loads such as LEDs and relays.
